The Religion Of Fear

Fear brings the need to hold on to something for hope, religions offer that hope…the more someone believes in a religion blindly, the less they will think for themselves, the less they think for themselves, the dumber they’ll become, they dumber they are, the easier it will be to manipulate them, the easier they are to be manipulated, the more they will be taken advantage of, the more there taken advantage of, the poorer they’ll be and the wealthier the rich will get, wealth will give the power to the rich to keep the poorer on a tighter leash…Still wondering why poor countries are the most religious of them all?

It’s a vicious circle really, religions will offer you hope but they’ll also instigate fear in the consequences for certain actions…but we don’t care, following a bunch of rules appointed to us as if we were mindless animals with no common sense or reason in exchange for a lifetime of peace of mind is a small price to pay for us creatures full of insecurities and fears of the uncertain, we don’t have to ask ourselves “why are we here?” or “what will happen once I die?”…it’s all very well planned out for you and if your a good boy and do as your told, you will have an after life full of happiness and joy and in some lucky cases like Muslims, 72 virgins that await for you cause the fathers of the virgins tell them since they are little, “Princess, you can never have sex for you must save your cherry so a terrorist in heaven can pop it or blow it up…it’s optional”, lucky for me…there’s not many female suicide bombers so hopefully I won’t be one of those 72 virgin males drafted someday, you know the funny thing would be that Muhammad was right and is the only true God, and if we die before marriage, all of us Catholic and Christian virgins end up being Muslim infidel killers sex toys…

Fear is a natural self preservation instinct, animals use it in a primitive way to defend their territory and protect their loved ones…when they feel threatened or in fear, they group up into flocks and show ferocity towards any animal outside of their group (does this sound anything like a religion?), as humans we are more rational and ambitious than animals giving us bigger expectations from life other than safety, food or shelter and develop deeper fears, we fear pain & death, we fear poverty, we fear embarrassment & humiliation, we fear emotional loneliness, we fear the supernatural, we fear the unknown, change and what is different…because it is not part of our “normal” routine therefore we aren’t prepared for it and will force us out of our comfort/secure zone.Having a religion gives you the perfect solution for that, they offer you a product you can’t see…you can’t touch…you can’t hear (I can, but he tells me to do evil things so maybe it’s not him)…you can’t deny its existence, yet so many people swear by him that it must be true! Because, as rational creatures…it would be the most rational explanation, isn’t it mysterious why the whole concept of Gods begun when we started to create/build fire, the wheel, hunting tools, clothing and shelter? If everything they saw back then was humanly built or created, their rational curious mind would start to wonder…who created this tree? this animal? this river? this mountain? the stars, moon and sun? who created us!?…everything we see must of been created by someone, and that someone must of had very big hands for him to have created so many and such big things so he must be up in the unknown big sky or sea (Zeus & Poseidon much?)…

In a way it’s helpful to calm down the minds curiosity of having this religious safety net that gives you all the explanations you desire and tells you what to do if you want to succeed in life and beyond it, feeling someone is always watching over you and helping you out, you can blame all the bad things that happen to you and others on the Devil instead of life, you don’t have to think for yourself and be afraid of the thoughts that might occur to you or worry about questions like “What if I made the wrong decision?” cause as long as you follow the 10 commandments you’ll be fine, even if you do break one of the commandments…a man that says some magical enchanted words over a bowl of water to turn it holy and by never in his life feeling the warmth of a woman somehow gained the ability to speak in the name of God will forgive you on his behalf, is it a coincidence 90% of the death row inmates living with the fear of death turn to religion? Don’t get your hopes up like I did and expect a woman representative to confess your sins too because they are not worthy enough and are only useful for savior baby growing (would of liked it if St Joseph had the baby out of his willie instead, now THAT would of been a miracle)…closest thing to a female priest is a maid of God who walks around in a penguin costume.I use to respect Priests, Monks and Nuns giving up their lives and everything for a noble and admirable lifestyle of helping others, guiding the lost (a.k.a recruiting for the herd) or providing a shoulder to cry on, then I realized they are no better than a capitalist Businessman, if you think about it…they give up their lives, their haircuts, clothing, possession, sexual desire, will power and dreams, and for what? so they can gain enlightenment or a reassured invitation into the gates of Heaven?, “I give you all of this and help you out down here in exchange for you giving me that”…sounds to me a lot like a business transaction.

Praying is the only way you’ll have direct contact with God without any third parties involved, I’m sure he doesn’t mind every single person in the world dumping all their problems, dreams, aspirations, requests for strength on him instead of taking risks and matters into their own hands being our “Father” and all…shouldn’t this apply as well in smaller proportions? why should I even bother working? or finding a girlfriend? I can live with my physical Father & Mother forever and ask them for everything and tell them to fix every little worry I have. You know that Chinese saying about giving a man a fish and he’ll eat for a day, teach him to fish and he’ll eat for a lifetime? Why not just show him how to pray instead? Oh that’s right…the idiot would starve!

I know I’m being cold by analyzing everything so logically and bluntly…but for people like me, Rational Thinking is our version of a God, the same way he provides a sense of “control over your life” and its outcome, logic provides us with the ability to analyze and find rational explanations for everything to appease our minds and trick them into feeling secure believing that since we now know ‘why‘ something happens, that knowledge will provide us with control over it.

The only fear of uncertainty you should have in life is someday arriving at the gates of Heaven, meeting God, making him sneeze and not knowing how to ask for his blessing.I stated in the title of this post that fear is a religion on its own…they are both weapons of mass destruction, fear has the God that imposes your need for safety as well as the Devil that creates your courage.
