About Matthew

Hi, My name is matty About Matthew and I like long walks on the beach, sunsets, watching the stars at night and babies…oh crap =S, this was suppose to go on my dating site profile description. =p.

01 150x150 About MatthewWhat is Sapientology?, Sapientology comes from the latin word ‘Sapi‘ meaning ‘to have wisdom‘, it is the study of the self-proclaimed: <sarcasm>wise</sarcasm> modern Homo Sapien society.I find the world to be such a fascinating, magical and beautiful place where we pride ourselves in being superior than animals with our rational thinking and logic, yet our environments are surrounded by chaos and irrationality…yes, I have ambivalence towards the people in the world but I don’t plan to try and change it or anything of the sort…I amuse myself by the reactions of making people aware and sharing my observations and opinions on this blog…think of it as my own little experiment to see if we all really are individuals or the reflection of a mediocre society, I know many will relate to my views and perspectives and many more wont…but that’s the fun of the Sapientology journey, to debate our mistakes and correct each other if we are wrong, I’m not a glass half full or half empty type of person, it’s silly to limit my options to two extremes, my inner idealist wishes the glass was double the size it is already to allow extra space for a more positive outcome, but my inner realist on the other hand says the glass should be half the size it is so it would already be full and all I could do would be accept I won’t be able to fill it up any more….though when it comes down to it, I’d wish everyone would stop labeling glasses and just fill them up.

Who am I? I’m 7 15 64 21 years old, I work in a diverse range of jobs from Real Estate & Web Developing to part-time Modeling, perhaps it was my unstable childhood that has given me 021 150x150 About Matthewmany interests but none that has captivated my attention…this also may account for my unfit life maturity, I grew up with my grandparents traveling around like vagabonds experiencing many adventures and wonderful/heartbreaking sceneries along the way, 10 odd countries later and close to 2 dozen schools, I now reside back in my birth country in the lovely city of Perth, Australia =).I can spend hours literally watching paint dry or following bugs little adventures…also do hiking, river kayaking, tree climbing and on the right days have the sudden impulses to go skydiving/run some bulls ect…

I hate the expression “You have too much time on your hands”, it sounds like a euphemism for ”What are you doing!? Use the social productivity invention of time to do something uncreative and follow the rest of us semi ambitious materialistic mindless sheep”…maybe it’s because I spend way too much time analytically thinking everything, just buying a bag of toilet rolls becomes a nightmare as I must be prepared for every possible outcome, 04 150x150 About Matthewtoilet paper should be decided based on thickness…material…layers…scruncher or folder usability (must consider my guests)…country it was made and once that’s over I start regretting not having brought my tape measure to verify its length (okay, maybe I’m exaggerating a little), I don’t worry about the scent/perfume it has though, that’s just silly…last time I checked I could not smell through my bum (thank God) so that leaves us with one alternative, they put perfume in it to leave the possibility for their users to not wash their hands afterwards…why else would you want your hands to smell flowery?, I also believe in washing my hands before peeing…I can’t speak for all males but I consider my willie to be cleaner than my hands so why wash after touching it but not before?

Bet Mine Is Longer Than YourssssWhat am I like? I’m a quirky, creative, hopeful, sometimes self-righteous, curious, observant, snarky, introspective, analytical, esoteric, eclectic, cynical, opinionated, needy, perfectionist/obsessive, social critic, occasionally narrow minded, usually blunt, dreamer with the outlooks on life of a 60 year old and the social mental growth of a 10 year old…I’m never bored because I do think the grass is greener on the other side so I’m always busy stealing my neighbours fertilizer =D, sure I’m random and lack consistency but…consistency would require me to be as stupid today as I was yesterday and the day before that.

Music

When it comes to music I’m not a hard person to please, I listen to different types of music depending on my moods, some are relatable emotionally while others are just catchy…though there is a genre that I usually end up coming back to (I find it has more heart because you can give it my own words/lyrics, which formulates into the following formula: words = thinking + melody = feeling, final result is: feeling your own thoughts), it can clearly be seen by going through my MP3 play list below (use the arrows to shuffle through it).

Movies

I’m a huge movie buff and watch all types (as with every other form of expression) to appreciate better the beauty of the opposite genre and create an equal balance (there cannot be light without the concept of darkness), French ones though are my favorite…not only because I’m in love with my favorite movies character (Amelie Poulain) but they have some great cinema, from intriguing Drama to disturbing Horror and heartwarming Romance, there’s many films though that have captivated me in different ways over the years and these are some of them:
